There are 6 owners on the car I am thinking of buying, does that include trade sales?

No. This does not include trade sales or garage owners. If the MyVehicle Car History Check shows, for example 6 owners of a vehicle, this would mean that there were 6 registered owners on the vehicle including the current owner.
