1,000 vintage vehicles in Naas this weekend
Anyone who is a fan of vintage cars is in for a treat this weekend as the Irish Vintage and Veteran Car club (IVVCC) hosts a festival in Punchestown in Kildare.
Over 1,000 vintage vehicles are expected to descend on Punchestown on Saturday, May 13 for the Irish Vintage & Veteran Car Club’s inaugural Festival of Transport 2017.
In addition a wonderful array of over 600 vintage cars, there will be hundreds of trucks, motorcycles, steam engines and tractors on display.
There will also be over 40 trade and autojumble stands, as well as face painting, rides for the children and ballooning.
One of Ireland’s premier motoring events, 2016 IVVCC International Gordon Bennett Rally took place on 10th-12th June, and brought 165 pre-1931 cars to the base at the Killashee Hotel in Naas, Co. Kildare.

The event will be open to the public from 10am to 5pm and admission is €10 for adults with children going free.
IVVCC Festival of Transport in Punchestown Race Course, just off the Naas – Blessington road.
Tickets are €10 per head (Under 16s Free) and can be pre-booked thru the IJDC.
Cars for the Club stand (indoors) meet at the Poitin Still at 8.00am on Sunday morning to travel to Punchestown together. Call James on 086-2633890 for details.
