Disqualified motorcyclist caught speeding at 200 km/h
A Limerick motorcyclist who had been disqualified from driving for ten years was caught driving at 200km/h in a 100km/h zone by Gardaí.
An Garda Síochána posted a picture of the bike on Twitter this morning, with the guilty party set to be sentenced as soon as he gets into court.
The arrest of the biker comes only days after An Garda Síochána issued a warning to motorists ahead of the May Bank Holiday weekend.
So far this year, according to the most recent Garda statistics, 54 people have been killed on Irish roads up until May 3, 2017, compared to 57 for the same period in 2016.
