Used Car Sales Report - March 2022
The 2014 Petrol Volkswagen Polo was the best-selling car in the Republic of Ireland during the month of March at Independent dealerships.
The 2014 Petrol Volkswagen Golf came in second place with the 2016 Volkswagen Passat coming in third place at Independent dealerships.
We see hybrid vehicles coming into the top-ten list for Independent dealers. In Seventh place is the 2018 Hybrid Bmw 5 series, Diesel continues to be the most popular engine type in Ireland.
The 2019 Diesel Hyundai Tucson was by far the best-selling car at Franchise dealerships coming in first, Sixth and Eight places. The VW Polo, Sportage, Tucson, Golf, Qashqai, Kuga and Corolla were all very popular cars at franchise dealerships.
The quickest-selling car at Independent dealerships in March was the 2007 Petrol Mercedes-Benz CLK-Class with the 2010 Diesel Skoda Yeti coming in second. The quickest-selling car from the franchise dealers was 2020 Diesel Ford Galaxy and the 2020 Hybrid BMW X5 coming in second place and also the Diesel version of the 2019 Volkswagen Touran in third place.
The March report reveals that of the top ten cars sold privately, the 2011 Diesel Volkswagen Passat was by far the most popular car in Ireland sold privately. The VW Golf came in second, Fifth, Sixth and Eight places.
Of the top-ten cars valued during the month of March was the 2014 Petrol Nissan Micra with the 2020 Electric Mercedes-Benz EQC and the 2016 Diesel Hyundai Tucson coming in second and third place respectively.
