Tesla Sales and Delivery Suddenly Got a Lot Faster
Tesla has started selling its Model 3 cars on its website and a car can be purchased straight away without having to wait weeks if the customer chooses to pick their car from the current inventory.
This means that it will lead to much faster delivery times for customers and if they don’t need customisation, they can have their car within days rather than waiting weeks.
For the first time, Tesla has made its inventory Model 3 vehicles available for browsing online. Their inventory section formerly just displayed the Model S and X models only, but now the inventory includes the new Model 3 stocks.
So depending on their location, if a customer could potentially get one of the pre-configured cars from the company's existing inventory very quickly instead of customizing their own cars and having to wait.
This inventory stock gives the purchaser the chance to possibly get a great deal for a Teslas which may have previously been used as a floor model or test drive model.
The strategy of putting their new model 3 into the stock inventory section means that Tesla can boost their delivery numbers for the quarter. This increase in sales and deliveries is much needed by the electric car manufacturer as they have not had the best first quarter in 2019.
Tesla delivered 63,000 cars in the first three months, which was down 31 per cent from its deliveries during the last quarter of 2018.
