THE MYVEHICLE NATIONWIDE MARKET OVERVIEW REPORT FOR APRIL 2021
Car Market Overview April 2021
During the month of April, the Nissan Qashqai was once again the best selling car sold by Independent dealers in Ireland. The Qashqai also came in third, fourth and sixth place.
The ever popular Hyundai Tucson was in the second position on the leaderboard for Independent Dealer sales and this has not changed since the end of 2020.
Without a doubt, the diesel Hyundai Tucson remains one of the most popular cars in Ireland, not only with Independent dealers but even more so at Franchise dealerships. Not only was the Tucson the best selling car in this category during April but it also came in second and third positions at the main dealerships.
Diesel still continues to be the most popular fuel choice in this country . It would seem that consumers here can't get enough diesel cars despite the global trend away from this combustible fuel type.
The quickest selling car from Independent dealers in April 2021 was the 2007 Petrol Ford C-Max. The quickest selling car from the franchise dealers 2014 Diesel Mercedes-Benz S-Class.
The April report reveals that of the top ten cars sold privately, the top three were the 2006 Petrol Ford Focus, the 2011 Diesel BMW 5 Series and the 2006 Petrol Volkswagen Golf. The petrol Golf also came in fourth and fifth positions as well.
Of the top-ten cars valued during the month of April, the 2019 Hybrid Toyota Corolla not only came out in the number one position but also came second and third place also.
